What we collect

If you browse the site: We use privacy-friendly analytics that don't use cookies, don't collect personal data, and don't track you across sites. We see things like "42 people visited the dog walker page today" — not who they were.

If you're a provider with a page: We store the information you give us — your name, business name, contact details, photos, and anything else you add to your page. You choose what's public.

Pre-populated pages

Some pages are created using publicly available business information (from Facebook pages, Instagram profiles, Google, leaflets, etc.) before the provider has claimed them. This is standard practice for directories and our lawful basis is legitimate interests under UK GDPR.

What we show on unclaimed pages: business name, category, and area — nothing more. Contact details are stored internally so we can reach out and invite providers to claim their page, but they're never displayed publicly until the provider confirms them.

How your data is stored

Provider data is stored securely with Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU). We don't share your data with third parties, and we don't use it for advertising.

Removal

Want your information removed? Email us at hello@look.direct and we'll sort it the same day. No forms, no hoops.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Drop us a line at hello@look.direct and we'll sort it out.
